Jessie Lily Adams

I have recently discovered Jessie’s work when looking through Lula magazine issue 13. Within the magazine was a wonderful set of images advertising clothing these were mainly set out in a Polaroid format, this wasn’t what grabbed my attention however it was on certain images a motion blur which created such emotion that I just had to look into her work further. Exploring into her work on her personal website http://www.jessielilyadams.com/ I found other work which carried the same style showing grain and motion blur.

These are some photos I found on her website which were from different series, Jessie has worked for magazines such as Lula and Hysteria. I love the way the photographs create emotion and mystery which is done my the motion blur which she creates. These images all show space, time and nature which is shown through the location, camera techniques and composition.

I am greatly inspired by Jessie’s work and I think this is going to give me a lot of ideas for the current project of distressed portraits.

me and technology just aren’t meant to be, i loose and break just about everything. i’ve gone through so many phones its ridiculous, got to think of this positively though

- more freedom without a phone (not constantly texting)
- more opportunity to talk face to face to communicate

everyone has a different idea of heaven, i wish i knew where my grandad would be

loosing someone so close to you kills you inside

thinking too much

when you like someone who’s not your usual type but you still find them gorgeous

this is so weird but i love it
